29-year-old arrested in job racket
Hyderabad: Central Zone Task Force team busted a fake job racket and apprehended Gangadhar Satish Kumar, 29, a resident of Danaiah Nagar, for cheating gullible aspirants with the promise of providing them jobs in the Income-Tax department for the post of Account Officer, Administrative Officer, Tax Inspector, Auditor, Junior Tax Assistants, Senior Tax Assistant, multi-tasking staff and collected about Rs 1 crore from the individuals. The Task Force team has seized bond papers from his possession.
“Satish, an S.S.C. dropout, worked at the office of C.A. Sri Sundaram on a daily wage of Rs 120 till June 2014. While working there, he got familiar with the posts of Income Tax department as he frequently used to visit Pan-Card Section of I-T Office in Basheerbagh,” said the DCP, Commissioner's Task Force, P. Radha Krishna Rao.
He then hatched a plan to cheat the public by promising to get them jobs in the I-T department. "He first informed his friends and other relatives that there were vacancies for the posts of Account Officer, Administrative Officer, Tax Inspector, Auditor, Junior Tax Assistant, Senior Tax Assistant, multi-tasking staff and peons in the I-T department and that he had good rapport with recruiting offers in the department. He demanded Rs 1-2 lakh, depending upon the post, as advance. He has taken such amounts from nearly 80 persons around the city since 2014. When repeatedly questioned by the candidates about their promised jobs, he cheated them further by saying that a particular Income-Tax officer had to be paid to ensure the job.
