Bengaluru: A 25-year-old cab driver was hacked to death by a gang of assailants near Geddalahalli in Hennur police station limits on Monday night.
The deceased is identified as Althaf Pasha, a resident of Geddalahalli in Vinayakanagar.
According to the police, Althaf had called his brother Naushad Pasha around 11.30 pm, on Monday and informed him that he would be home soon. When he was just 200 metres away from his house, a gang of men in an auto and a bike waylaid him and hacked him to death. It is suspected that the assailants followed Althaf from a distance before attacking him.
