Hyderabad: A four-year-old child and a 24-year-old housewife from Hyderabad were killed in an accident in Medak district on Saturday. Police said the accident occurred when a speeding SUV hit the auto trolley in which they were travelling. The deceased are Deepak and Lakshmi.
Two couples Dasarath and Padma and Shankar and Lakshmi, residents of Begumpet, and their kids were on way to attend a family function in Toopran. They were travelling in an auto trolley owned by Dasarath.
When their vehicle reached Imampur X Roads on the outskirts of Toopran, a speeding car heading towards Nizamabad from Hyderabad rammed into their vehicle from behind. “As a result the auto trolley overturned and fell off the road. Lakshmi died on the spot, while Deepak succumbed to injuries in hospital,” Toopran SI D. Srinivas Reddy said.The other six passengers were rushed to hospital.
