A four-year-old girl succumbed to burn injuries on Friday after she accidentally fell into a container filled with hot sambhar.
Chennai: A 18-year-old ITI student was killed while his friend, a class 11 student escaped with injuries after their two-wheeler was hit by a tipper lorry near Uthiramerur in Kancheepuram district on Friday evening. The deceased was identified as K. Jayachandran while his friend, M. Manikandan got some injuries, police said.
They were returning home along the Kancheepuram-Uthiramerur road when the truck was coming in the opposite direction hit their two-wheeler near Maagaral. Jayachandran was killed on the spot while Manikandan is undergoing treatment at Kancheepuram government hospital. A case has been filed and further probe is on.
