Hyderabad: The West Zone Task Force Team apprehended a cricket betting organiser while he was accepting bets at Upper Dhoolpet area of Mangalhat. Officials seized Rs 45,600 cash, one TV, a notebook used to write betting amounts and four mobile phones from him.
The accused, Shailender Singh, 24, has been active over the last one year. He collects and distributing the amount from nearly 10 to 15 punters in twin cities.
While organising such a bet on Saturday, for the ongoing Big Bash League-2019, officials apprehended him and handed him over to Mangalhat Police for further action.
