Demonetised notes worth Rs 99 lakh seized in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police on Friday nabbed a five-member gang and seized Rs 99 lakh in demonetised currency from them. The police said that the suspect gathered the banned currency by offering a 20 per cent commission.
The suspects include a civil contractor. They were identified as B. Tirupathi, 35, Mohammed Rizwan-ul-Hussain, 36, Mohammed Kareem, 48, Mohammed Siddiq, 48 and Nazeer Ahmed Khan, 49, while one of the suspects is still at large.
