Hyderabad police arrests 5 suspects in accident case

The accident occurred when a group of youth assaulted the victim Rajesh after an argument over money.

Hyderabad: With the help of CC camera footage, Hayathnagar police have arrested five people, who were suspected for the accident of a 21-year-old man on Tuesday. His death was initially believed to be an accidental death.

The accident occurred when a group of youth assaulted the victim Rajesh after an argument over money. In an attempt to escape from them, Rajesh ran onto NH 65 and got hit by a truck.

The suspects were identified as pan shop owner Mohammed Ghouse 26, his brother Mohammed Nade-em 31, Mohammed Salman 19, Mohammed Rehman 19 and Mohammed Afi Rasheed 30.

The quarrel had reportedly began over the payment of four rupees by Rajesh to pan shop owner Nadeem for buying a cigarette. According to police, he paid Rs 10 for the cigarette and insisted that he would pay the balance four rupees later. However, the argument began with Nadeem insisting on the payment.

Rasheed, who came to pick Nadeem, was also at the shop. When the argument intensified, Nadeem had reportedly called his brother Ghouse and his fri-ends Salman and Rehman.

They pulled Rajesh tow-ards the shop while he was waiting on the road and be-at him up demanding him to apologise to Nadeem. In an attempt to escape from them, Rajesh ran onto NH 65. While crossing the road, a truck heading towa-rds Hyderabad hit him, killing him on the spot.
