Hyderabad: In broad daylight, a gang of armed rowdy-sheeters barged into a house at Langer Houz and robbed the family and damaged the CCTV camera nearby. The video, which has gone viral, showed the main accused, Syed Zameer alias Ammu, along with four associates forcefully entering a house in an attempt to murder. The incident created panic in the locality. The Langer Houz police arrested Syed Zameer.
According to the police, Zameer and his associates Syed Imran, Mohammed Ghouse, Mohammed Kareem and Zahed Khan, all residents of Langer Houz, barged into the house of Mohammed Abdul Hakeem, a media professional.
“They were armed with sticks and weap-ons and broke open the door with an intention to kill Mr Hakeem. As he was not at home, they attacked his wife and son. They also robbed a gold chain and `80,000 and also damaged the CCTV,” the police said.
Hakeem had gone to Zameer’s house recen-tly to asked him to return the borrowed money. “Zameer bore a grudge against Hakeem and wanted to eliminate him with the help of his associates and attacked his family on Friday,” the police added. Zameer was previously involved in an attempt to murder case at Tappachabutra police station and an Arms Act case in the Langer Houz police station. Based on a complaint by Hakeem, the gang was arrested.
