VISHAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam cyber crime police have arrested an advocate from MVP colony for blackmailing women.
Police said advocate Gedela Vijayababu targeted married women by morphing their personal photos and videos on social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
He allegedly used obscene comments, curses, humiliation, and mental torture, so that they yielded to his blackmail.
Vijayababu was arrested after a married woman filed a complaint against him.
Cyber crime inspector Someshwar Rao told Deccan Chronicle that following the complaint, they arrested the advocate from MVP Colony. “We have produced him before the court, which has granted him conditional bail," the inspector stated.
