Kidnapped girl found at Bengaluru railway station

The railway police, however, were not sure if the girl was kidnapped and brought to Bengaluru or she left her house on her own.

Bengaluru: A minor girl, who was kidnapped from Rajasthan and trafficked to Bengaluru by unidentified men, has been rescued by the Bengaluru Railway Protection Force (RPF) and reunited with her parents on Wednesday. The 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from her village in Nagaur district in Rajasthan on Saturday, when she had gone to a medical shop to buy medicine for her ailing mother. While returning home, some miscreants sprayed something on her face and forced her into a car.

The girl’s parents had lodged a complaint at a local police station when their daughter failed to return home. The police had sent out an alert to all police stations, including railway police, in and around the district and her photo was circulated. On Monday, the girl was found sitting and sobbing on platform number five at the City Railway station. When inquired by the railway police, she couldn’t tell anything as she was traumatized. The police then asked for the phone number of anyone in her family following which she shared her father’s number.

A call was made to her father and the police came to know that she was kidnapped and a missing complaint was lodged at the local police station. On Wednesday, the girl’s parents came and took her with them. The railway police, however, were not sure if the girl was kidnapped and brought to Bengaluru or she left her house on her own.
