Four Andhra Pradesh staff get 1-year rigorous imprisonment

Hyderabad: The principal special judge of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has sentenced four persons from the AP State Aids Control Society to one-year rigorous imprisonment under the PC Act. P. Ravi Kumar, M. G Shekar, P. Srikanth, V. Rajesh are the accused persons, who fell into the ACB net while accepting Rs 4 lakh bribe for supplying Elisa kits and other medical items. This case was booked in 2011. In another case, the ACB court sentenced N. Basawalingam , panchayat secretary in Ranga Reddy district, who was accused in a disproportionate assets case in 2007. The judge ordered confiscation of assets worth Rs 35, 000.
