KANNUR: Two more RSS workers were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the murder of Kuthuparamba local committee member Kuzhichalil Mohanan. Rahul (22), and Sayooj (23) were arrested at Venduthayi, near Pinarayi, said Kuthuparamba CI K.P. Suresh Babu. The police also recovered a sword and four country-made bombs from Paduvilakkadavu. Five people were arrested in connection with the murder till now. Police had registered cases against seven RSS workers from the same area after Mohanan was hacked to death in a toddy shop, where he had been working, recently.
After interrogation, they were taken to the interiors of the district to recover the arms that were used to kill him. There was immense pressure on the police to arrest the accused after one RSS worker was killed in retaliation for the murder and many houses were attacked. Though the duo was arrested, the police did not reveal more details about them.
