BJP man shot dead in Kodagu

According to Kodagu police, the accused was shot at from close range with a licensed revolver.

Mysuru: A 40-year-old local BJP worker, who was defeated in the Maragodu gram panchayat polls, was shot dead by the victorious candidate at Maragodu in Madikeri Rural police station limits around 6.35 pm on Monday evening. The deceased is Kanadka Tilak Raj while the accused is Nanaiah alias Murodi Nanda who belongs to the JD (S).

According to Kodagu police, the accused was shot at from close range with a licensed revolver. The exact reason for the murder is yet to be ascertained with the police suspecting that it could be because of personal enmity. Madikeri Rural police have registered a case.
