Kerala: Molester gets tongue bitten off by woman
Kochi: A woman at Njarackal bit off the tongue of a 30-year-old man while resisting his molestation bid. The police later traced Rakesh M. G., who attempted to kiss the 45-year-old homemaker, to a city hospital and arrested him.
Cops said the incident happened in the wee hours of Friday as she was going to the toilet outside after finishing her household chores. The accused, while walking past the nearby road, noticed lights in the bath and entered the compound scaling the wall. He snapped electricity removing the fuse and forced himself on the woman and tried to kiss her in the darkness.
The woman resisted hard and bit off the tip of his tongue. He fled away even as his severed tongue fell to the ground. The woman lodged a complaint with the Njarackal police in the morning. A police team inspected the spot and collected the severed organ. Meanwhile, the man got himself admitted to a hospital in Kochi claiming he suffered the injury in a mishap.
The cops, meanwhile, got a tip-off and upon checking the hospital record, they found he got admitted soon after the incident. They arrested him on Monday on charges under sections 447 (Punishment for criminal trespass), 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 511 of 376 (Punishment for attempt to rape) of the IPC and produced him before a magistrate here on Tuesday.
