MAN BOUND FOR AUSTRALIA FOUND DEAD IN HYD

Hyderabad: A 26-year-old student who was bound for Australia reportedly died by suicide at a service apartment in Gachibowli. His parents had left the victim, G. Rajgopal Reddy, at the Bengaluru airport on May 23 to board a flight to Australia.

Police said Rajgopal Reddy instead of travelling to Australia had returned to the city, rented the service apartment on May 30 and paid the money in advance. The manager opened the lock with a master key and found Rajgopal Reddy dead.

Gachibowli police who went to the site informed his parents who first insisted that it was case of mistaken identity. His parents said Rajgopal Reddy had booked tickets to Australia on a work visa.

It was only when police gave details of the victim and sent his passport and pictures to the parents that they rushed to the service apartment.

Rajgopal, a resident of Gachibowli, and a native of Kadapa district, had come from Australia in October 2022. He attended his sister’s marriage in December and last week had booked tickets to Australia.

MAN ENDS LIFE AS AFFAIR THWARTED BY WOMAN’S KIN

Hyderabad: Allavula Rajesh, 25, whose decomposed body was found in Hayathnagar four days ago, had died by suicide, police said on Thursday. Denying it was murder, police said that Rajesh was in a relationship with a 45-year-old government teacher and a mother of three and took the extreme step as they could not continue their relationship. The teacher also attempted suicide and died while undergoing treatment.

Police had initially booked a case of murder and suspected the role of the woman’s family members. But CCTV footage and other technical evidence did not support the suspicion, and police concluded that he died by suicide.

Police said Rajesh called to the woman’s mobile number by mistake but became friends over time. Their phone conversations made her family suspicious and she reportedly attempted suicide.

When she was under treatment, Rajesh went to her home and started enquiring about her. At this, her children grew suspicious and reprimanded him and warned him to stay away from her. Three days later, his body was found.
