Hyderabad: An engineering dropout who had been working as a labourer in Hyderabad reportedly killed his wife and two-year-old son and dumped their bodies in a water drum at his house in Vanasthalipuram, before absconding to his native place.
The police recovered the bodies on Tuesday night and is currently searching for the accused.
Adil Alam, a native of Patna, Bihar, came to the city to pursue engineering studies. However, he ended up aborting his education plan and took up a job as a labourer instead. About three years ago, Adil married his neighbour Kavitha, 25. His parents were not willing to accept their matrimony, so they moved into a rented apartment in Autonagar, where they continued to live thereafter.
Soon, the couple was blessed with a baby boy, and they named him Mohammed Irfan.
In a rather strange move on Saturday, Adil locked up the house, left and never returned. On Tuesday night, his landlord noticed that a distinctly foul smell was coming from the house that he had rented out to Adil, so he alerted the police.
Upon investigation, the police found Kavitha and Irfan’s decomposed corpses in a water drum.
