Hyderabad: Two nabbed in two cases of robbery
Hyderabad: Two separate robbery cases were resolved by the Rachakonda police on Tuesday. The two cases were registered at Abdullapurmet and Hayathnagar police stations. The Rachakonda police arrested the two criminals and have seized the stolen property from them.
In the first incident, the police nabbed one Gamanagari Ramesh Goud, a borewell vehicle operator at Abdullapurmet. Goud had stolen the borewell-compressor-mounted-vehicle from his former partner Korra Chander as the latter owed him money, the payment of which he had been consistently avoiding.
According to the police, Ramesh worked as a supervisor for Korra Chander for years. In 2016, he took the same vehicle on lease and paid Chander regularly the amount that was decided between them. At last count, it was found that it was Chander who now had to return Rs 3.60 lakh to Ramesh. But when the payment got delayed time and again, Ramesh took away the vehicle without Chander's knowledge. Later with the intervention of elders, the issue was settled and the vehicle was returned to Chander. But the payment was not made.
In the second case, the police arrested B Bhagavanthu, a daily wage earner who looted a woman of her jewellery on April 26. Bhagwanthu came to the house where the victim Venkatamma was working and introduced himself as the house owner's friend and started a conversation with her.
When Venkatamma went inside the house, he followed and attacked her, injuring her on the face, neck and body. He then took away her gold chain, earrings, toe rings and cash and fled away.
