Hyderabad: Bhavaninagar police booked a case against a man for killing his son-in-law on Friday night at the victim’s house. The deceased, Sheik Feroz, 22, fell in love with Neha Begum and married her a year ago. According to the police, Neha’s father, Mohd Ayub Khan, did not approve of the marriage, and had threatened Feroz many times in the past.
The couple had a fight six months back and Neha stayed with her parents for a week. After that Feroz apologised and took her back. “Neha registered a complaint at Bagalpura police station against her brother and father that they were threatening her husband,” said Bhavaninagar SI V. Ramesh.
“The couple conducted a cradle ceremony in the first week of March and the girl’s parents were invited. They had a heated argument which led to a quarrel and they left the place angry. On Friday night, at around 11:30 pm, Ayub returned with his son and another person to murder Feroz. He was stabbed several times on the neck and other parts of the body,” the inspector added. Police booked a case under Section 302 against the killers who are absconding.
