Bengaluru: Home alone woman's throat slit, valuables stolen

Bengaluru: Two women were murdered in separate incidents in Byatarayanapura and Suddaguntepalya police station limits since Thursday morning. In the first incident a 26-year-old woman was murdered in broad daylight at her residence in Kasturba Road in Byatarayanapura police station limits. Some unknown men barged into her house, slit her throat and decamped with gold and silver ornaments and cash, while she was alone at her home on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as, Kavitha, wife of Shivaram, who works at a plywood shop in Nayandahalli. The couple has two children and both were at school when the incident happened.

According to the police, the attack took place between 9:15 - 9:45 am, after her husband left for work and it came to light when Kavitha’s father came to her house for breakfast at 9:50 am and found her in a pool of blood, he immediately informed the police. Byatarayanapura police have registered a case and begun investigation.

Landlord kills woman
In the second incident, a 55-year-old woman was murdered by her landlord after a fight over a lease agreement at her residence on Wednesday night in Suddaguntepalya police station limits. The deceased has been identified as, Kamalamma, who worked as a housekeeping staff at a private firm and resided at a slum quarters in BTM 1st stage on Tavarekere Main Road, along with her two children. According to the police, the landlord, Jagadish had asked her to vacate the house, but she refused as there were issues with the dates in the agreement. On Wednesday, around 9:30 pm, Jagadish came to her house along with his two friends. He told her children to stay outside till they finish the meeting.

After her children left, both started arguing on the agreement and Jagadish took out a knife, slit her throat and fled. The incident came to light when her children returned home and rushed her to the nearby hospital, where she succumbed to injuries. Suddaguntepalya police are on lookout for the culprits.
