Hyderabad: A day after a rape suspect was stabbed to death at Adibatla, the rape victim’s father and his two associates went absconding. The police has collected CCTV footage showing the murder. But as it was not a night vision camera the faces are not visible. Police thinks that either the rape victim’s father Shyam Sundar Reddy stabbed Gunti Rajesh to death or his goons executed the murder. After the murder, a police team had gone to Shyam Sundar Reddy’s house. But they could not find him at home. This increased the suspicion about Reddy’s involvement in the case.
“He is absconding and that strengthens our suspicion that this was an act of revenge,” said inspector R. Govinda Reddy. The police also searched for the associates of Reddy, but they were missing. Police collected CCTV footage from the murder site hoping to identify the killers. “We got a few seconds long footage. But it is not clear as it was night. We are trying to figure out where the attackers came from and how they escaped,” said LB Nagar DCP Tafseer Iqbal. Police had got hints that Reddy had been plotting to attack Rajesh, who is an influential person in his locality at LB Nagar.
