Hyderabad: An event manager has filed a complaint against Jabardasth comedy show actor Avinash Karthik for cheating him. The petitioner, who approached Jubilee Hills police, said that he had paid an advance of Rs 10,000 to the actor to perform at a Shivarathri event in Kurnool. But Avinash did not turn up. Avinash said he could not go as he had fever.
Jubilee Hills police said they are inquiring into the matter. A case has not been registered “The complainant said that he had approached Avinash, and had asked him if he could perform at the Mahashivarathri event in Kurnool. The actor agreed and took advance also. But on the day of the event he did not come and instead sent his friend. The petitioner alleged that it was criminal breach of trust,” said a Jubilee Hills police official.
