Hyderabad: Chain snatchers struck again in the city targeting a bakery owner in the Shamirpet area. A lone bike borne snatcher attacked one B. Kavitha while she was standing in front of her bakery. However, the attempt failed when she raised an alarm and the snatcher fled, police said.
B. Kavitha, 30, a resident of Balipuram village runs the Manikanta bakery in Shameerpet. On Tuesday at around 11 am she was standing on the road in front of her bakery.
Suddenly a lone biker on a black Splendor bike (AP 27G 2975) came towards her and tried to grab her gold chain. “She raised an alarm and he failed to snatch the chain. He fled towards the city” said Shameerpet inspector A. Sattaiah.
The episode was recorded by CCTVs installed on the main road. The CCTV images showed a bearded snatcher who could be in his early thirties. An attempt to rob case was registered.
