BENGALURU: A 47-year-old Pradeep alleged committed suicide by shooting himslef inside in his car near Nettegere village of Ramnagar district on Sunday late night and in the death note left by him names Bharatiya Janata Party MLA and former minister Aravind Limbavalli, Gopi, Somaiah, Ramesh Reddy, Dr Jayaram Reddy and Raghav Bhat as responsible persons for him to take the extreme step to end his life. BJP MLA Aravind Limbavalli represents Mahadevapura Assembly seat in Bengaluru city.
In the death note, Pradeep alleged that BJP MLA Aravind Limbavalli supported Gopi and Somaiah who allegedly cheated on him. Pradeep was a resident of Amalipura near HSR Layout in Bengaluru and had come to a resort with his family to Nettegere where he took the drastic step to end his life by shooting. He shot himself in the head region.
It is said Pradeep left the resort alone and reached his home in HSR Layout and left a death note there. He again came back to the resort and left another death note in his car before committing suicide.
Pradeep alleged that he sold his house to invest in a resort to be opened near HSR Layout and he invested an amount of Rs 1.5 crore but persons who took money did not make him a partner in the business and cheated him. In total, Pradeep alleged that he lost about Rs 2.2 crore.
Pradeep stated that he brought the matter to the notice of BJP MLA Aravind Limbavalli and after negotiations, it was agreed to repay my money in monthly instalments’. As per the negotiations, persons who took money paid monthly installments for 9 months and stopped making repayments thereafter. The non-repayment of money led to financial distress leading to suicide.
Meanwhile, Namitha, wife of Pradeep in a complaint to Kaggalipura police station told the police that her husband faced financial problems for about 5-years and investments he made landed him in deep trouble.
Pradeep failed to secure the amount he invested with Gopi, Somaiah and others and asked the police to initiate steps to get the amount back from the accused persons named by her husband Pradeep.
The death note of Pradeep sought action against the accused persons- Aravind Limbavalli, Gopi, Somaiah, Ramesh Reddy, Dr Jayaram Reddy and Raghav Bhat. Kaggalipura police have registered a case and investigations are on.
