Hyderabad: The body of a newborn boy was found floating in Hussain Sagar on Monday evening, the Lake police said.
Locals in the area spotted the body floating in the lake opposite Kandukuri Veeresalingam statue around 4.30 pm in the evening.
The Lake police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and shifted it to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem.
The body was wrapped up in a plastic sheet and dumped in the lake. The Police suspect that he was dumped either on Sunday night or Monday morning. A case was registered by the Ramgopalpet police.
