Hyderabad: Police arrested a 25-year-old youngster working as a technician in a plastic company in Abdullapurmet for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl. The accused was identified as Rajesh hailing from Uttar Pradesh. Since the victim was also working in the same company, police said they are looking for options to take action against the firm for employing a minor. According to police, Rajesh migrated to Hyderabad more than three years ago and started working as a machine operator in a plastic company located at Brahmanpally village.
The victim was also working in the same company along with her mother. Rajesh developed a romantic relationship with the girl and assured her of marriage. On November 25, he contacted the girl over phone and picked her from her house on the pretext of getting married. Later, he drove her to Kundanpally village where he was working and confined her in the workers' room and sexually assaulted her. Meanwhile, her parents lodged a complaint with the police. Knowing that a case is registered against him, he dropped the girl at Hayathnagar bus stand on Tuesday and fled away. Upon arrest, Rajesh confessed of sexually assaulting the girl and was sent to remand.
