TRS MLA booked for criminal trespassing
Hyderabad: T. Prakash Goud, TRS MLA from Rajendranagar, was booked for criminal trespass and criminal intimidation after a businessperson, G. Mohan Reddy, lodged a complaint against him. The Mailardevpally police has registered a case against the MLA.
Mohan Reddy stated that the MLA along with his associates threatened him and forcefully demolished a compound wall which was constructed recently.
Prakash Goud said that the land owned by Mohan Goud had a walkway through it used by the entire village. The villagers requested me to allow the walkway. The demolition happened in presence of the police and GHMC officials, the MLA said.
“The MLA and his associates trespassed into the land and threatened the guards, abused them and demolished the wall using a JCB machine,” Mohan Goud said in his complaint.
“Though there are many other alternative routes, the MLA is threatening us with a hidden agenda. All the villagers are cooperating. Even if they really want the walkway through our land, let them approach the government and we are ready to part with the land as per the norms,” said Mr Sreenath, a relative of the complainant.
He further added that when the wall was demolished, there were no GHMC officials and police.
