Nellore: A woman branded her 4-year-old stepson to avenge her husband’s sexual relationship with another woman in Darsi town on Sunday. Darsi DSP V.S. Rambabu said the child Brahmaiah is the son of one Alluri Anjaneyulu. They are living in Darsi town now. The boy is his first wife’s son and she left home after she became mentally ill. The woman, Rachuri Laksmi, 26, has a 3-year-old daughter and she had been torturing Brahmaiah ever since she came to know about the affair of her husband. The boy suffered an injury on the head when the woman beat him on Friday night.
She again branded him cruelly with an iron rod on the back and the face on Saturday and left home with her daughter. Neighbours rushed the boy to hospital and alerted the police when they found the boy weeping with wounds all over his body on Sunday. After first aid, the police, with the help of NGO Childline and staff of the ICDS shifted the boy to ICDS Ongole. The DSP said they have booked a case and set up a team to track down the culprit.
