Man stabbed outside Madannapet PS in theft dispute

Hyderabad: A rowdy-sheeter stabbed a 32-year-old man outside the police station when he was going to lodge a complaint of theft against him, Madannapet police said. The victim, Mohammed Feroz, is said to be in a critical condition at a private hospital.

According to Mohammed Amer, the victim’s brother, the accused rowdy-sheeter, Mohammed Ibrahim, had stolen Feroz’s phone from his house in Dhatunagar, Madannapet. “Feroz and my sister went to Ibrahim’s house to ask for the phone, Ibrahim abused them and sent them back” Amer said.

Feroz left for the Madannapet police station with his sister to lodge a complaint. Ibrahim went ahead of them and was waiting outside the police station and stabbed Feroz six times, Amer said. His family members rushed him to Osmania General Hospital and then to a private hospital.

Ibrahim, a resident of Dhatunagar, is a rowdy sheeter listed with the IS Sadan police. He was earlier arrested and twice booked under the PD Act, Madannapet police said. Police arrested Ibrahim, Madannapet sub-inspector Ch Suresh said.
