Hyderabad: A person who tried to commit suicide two weeks ago due to health problems died while undergoing treatment on Sunday in Gandhi Hospital. Police identified the victim as P. Ram Reddy, 42, a mechanic.
According to Hayathnagar inspector Narender Goud, “Ram Reddy was rushed to a private hospital after he attempted suicide two weeks ago”.
“The victim was suffering from health problems for a long time due to which he went into depression and attempted suicide by consuming pesticide.”
His family members shifted him to a nearby private hospital and then to Gandhi Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment at about 4.30 am on Sunday.
The police has registered a case under Section 174 CrPC (death under suspicious circumstances) and handed over the body to the family after the postmortem examination.
