Vijayawada: Youth arrested for selling MDMA

VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada city police on Thursday arrested Nadimpalli Abhishek Varma (22) at the Pandit Nehru Bus Station within Krishna Lanka police station limits for being in possession of methylenedioxy methamphetamine (MDMA).
They seized from him 3.42 grams of MDMA, worth about ₹10,000.
South Zone ACP Dr. Ravi Kiran said Abhishek Varma is an addict who lives in Abhyudaya Colony of Rajavolu in East Godavari district.
Abhishek had completed his B. Tech course in 2020. Thereafter, he became addicted to consuming ganja. For the past six months, he has switched over to MDMA.
The ACP said Abhishek purchased the drug from his friend who is living in Bangalore. He refuted reports on social and mainstream media that Vijayawada has become a hub of drugs.
