Hyderabad: An autorickshaw driver was killed when a police vehicle belonging to home minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy’s convoy hit his auto at Chinthapally in Nalgonda on Wednesday. The accident happend at Kurumba village in the afternoon. The victim, G. Jang-aiah, 55, was rushed to Kamineni Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.
The home minister was visiting his relatives in Nalgonda. "When the minister passed Kurumed village road the escort vehicle was three km behind the convoy. While they were rushing to join the convoy an autorickshaw driver was taking a turn on the road. The police MUV rammed the auto," said an official from Nalgonda police. Police booked a case and has launched an investigation.
