Mandal Praja Parishad held for links with Nayeem gang

Nagaraju was arrested from Srinagar based on confessions given by Nayeem's associates.

Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing Nayeem’s case arrested Sriramulu Nagaraju, the Mandal Praja Parishad president of Valigonda in Nalgonda district on Wednesday.

Nagaraju was arrested from Srinagar based on confessions given by Nayeem’s associates. Nagaraju is the uncle of Nayeem’s key associate Pasham Sreenu.
Meanwhile, another associate of Nayeem named Srihari, who is suspected to be involved in various land dealings, surrendered before L.B. Nagar court. Srihari is also wanted by the CBI in connection with the Sohrabuddin encounter case of Gujarat.

As per court directions, he was remanded to judicial custody for 14 days and sent to the Cherlapalli central prison. Police said that Srihari is the key accused in the Kondapur and Adhibatla land dealings.
