Gang war: Man beaten to death in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: A plan to attack a man from another gang went awry for a 32 year-old man when he was beaten with iron rods and crushed to death with hollow bricks at Kumaraswamy Layout police limits on Sunday evening.
The deceased, Asgar, was a resident of Siddapura. Asgar, his friend Aslam and seven others went to Suddaguntepalya to attack Afzal. As they were about to launch the strike, Afzal’s friends noticed them and counter-attacked. Aslam and Asgar were beaten with hollow bricks and iron rods. The Kumarswamy Layout police rushed to the spot but failed to make any arrest as Afzal's friends had fled the spot.
Asgar and Aslam were shifted to a nearby private hospital where Asgar was declared brought dead and Aslam is in a critical condition.
Aslam, who was also a resident of Suddaguntepalya, lent money at high interest rates. The residents complained to Afzal, who warned Aslam and asked him not to trouble people. Three months ago, Aslam shifted to Siddapura. He nursed a grudge against Afzal and wanted him dead.
On Sunday evening, Aslam, Asgar and their friends were planning to attack Afzal, when they were countered.
