Hyderabad: Cyberabad police arrested a techie for threatening his former girlfriend that he would share their private pictures on social media. Police said that S. Pavan Kumar started harassing the woman, a techie, who had rejected him and shared their pictures with her fiance.
Police said that Pavan Kumar studied along with the complainant while doing engineering in the city. During studies they became friends and later he took her mobile number and email ID and gradually fell in love with her. But when he proposed she rejected him.
Recently after knowing that she had got engaged he started threatening her. “He hacked her Facebook account and sent abusive messages and videos to her fiance. He also posted some personal videos to him and threatened to post the videos and photos to all her contacts in Facebook and her phone,” DCP (crimes) Ms Janaki Sharmila said.
Police found Pavan had moved closely with the woman and took her pictures using a spy camera. When the victim came to know this she started avoiding him.
He was arrested and sent to judicial custody. The mobile phone which he used for threatening the victim was also seized.
