3 snake gang men moved to Warangal central prison

These three prisoners will be given training in weaving and tailoring at the Warangal central prison, says sources.

Hyderabad: Three members of the notorious snake gang were shifted to the Warangal central prison from Cherlapalli prison on Tuesday.

Prisons DIG Akula Narasimha told Deccan Chronicle that the seven-member snake gang was considered dangerous at the Cherlapalli central prison and three of them — Faisal Dayyani, Syed Anwar and Md. Ibrahim — were shifted to the Warangal central prison.

“The remaining four will also be shifted to Adilabad, Nizamabad and Karimnagar prisons in a phased manner if they do not change their behaviour,” he said.

Another source from Cherlapalli prison said the snake gang was given training in soap making, carpentry, steel furniture work and tailoring at the prison’s industrial training unit.

"These three prisoners will be given training in weaving and tailoring at the Warangal central prison. If they create trouble there they will be split and shifted to other prisons in the state to minimise the threat from them to other prisoners,” the sources said.
