Cash seized
Bengaluru: Election Commission officials along with the Hosakote police seized unaccounted cash of Rs 64 lakh that was hidden in a car which was parked in an apartment in Nisarga Layout in Hosakote on Monday morning.
The officials, who received credible information about the cash hidden in the car, rushed to the spot and seized the amount. The police have detained the driver, Harish, for questioning.
The apartment allegedly belongs to JD(S) candidate Nisarga Narayanaswamy, who is contesting the Assembly elections. The money was allegedly meant to be distributed among voters.
