Hyderabad: Robbers targeted a parked car in front of the Ibrahimpatnam sub-registrar office taking away Rs 5 lakh on Saturday.
The vehicle’s owner, a city businessman, had gone inside to meet officials, when the crime took place. The cash bag was taken after a window on the side of the parked Innova was smashed. The bag also contained other important documents, officials said.
“The businessman, named Anthony, had come to the sub registrar’s office for personal reasons. When he emerged from the building, he saw that his car’s windows had been smashed and the cash bag was missing. He has filed a complaint,” said P. Jagadeeswar, Inspector of Ibrahimpatnam police station.
