21-year-old rowdy beaten to death in Kalasipalya
Bengaluru: A 21-year-old habitual offender was beaten to death by a four-member gang in Moti Nagar in Kalasipalya police limits on Wednesday night, due to financial dispute.
Police have identified the deceased as Naushad Ahmed, a resident of Motinagar and scrap worker. Naushad also had a rowdy sheet against him in Chamrajpet police station, including an attempt to murder case. He was having a financial dispute with his uncle and had allegedly assaulted him.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Naushad had sold his house for Rs 40 lakh to one Shahbaaz, the prime suspect in the murder and a resident of Motinagar, around three years ago. After purchasing the property Shahbaaz didn’t pay the amount to Naushad and they used to have frequent quarrels over the issue. Whenever Naushad used to approach Shahbaaz for the money, the latter used to give evasive replies.
On Wednesday night, Naushad confronted Shahbaaz, while he was accompanied by three associates, and reprimanded him. An altercation ensued and in a fit of rage Shahbaaz hit Naushad with an iron rod. Naushad sustained head injuries and collapsed on the ground. Sensing danger Shahbaaz and others fled, police said.
The incident came to light when locals noticed the commotion and saw Naushad lying in pool of blood. They alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and shifted Naushad to Victoria hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival, police added.
Kalasipalya police have registered a case and launched a manhunt for the assailants.
Pvt firm employee murdered
In another incident, a 30-year-old employee of a private firm was allegedly stabbed to death by his brother-in-law and his aides over a personal row in Byatarayanapura police limits on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Abhishek, a resident of Nayandanahalli. He was working in Tata IBM and was married to Rashmi, his second wife. He is also survived by two sisters and mother.
Police said that Abhishek had developed an animosity towards his brother-in-law, identified as Rubin, the prime murder suspect, after his sister Ashwini married Rubin. They often used to quarrel over financial matters, as Abhishek was the sole heir of the property.
On Thursday around 6 am, Rubin along with his three aides was waiting in front of Abhishek’s house. As Abhishek returned from work on his bike, the assailants stabbed Abhishek and fled on two bikes.
The incident came to light when hearing his screams, his wife and neighbours came out of the house and found him lying in a pool of blood. They informed the police, who shifted the body to a nearby hospital, police said.
Abhishek was stabbed eight times in his abdomen and died on the spot. Police have sent the body for post-mortem. It is suspected that some financial issues may have led to the murder.
