Chennai: Police on Wednesday arrested six persons in connection with the murder of a history-sheeter, Rathinam who was hacked to death near Kundrathur on Tuesday night.
Rathinam alias Rathinavel, 22 came out on bail last week and was killed by a gang while he was returning home after visiting a friend near Kundrathur on Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning, some residents alerted police personnel about a corpse lying near bushes with injury on his throat.
After enquiries, police arrested six suspects identified as Karuna, Appu, Dhanasekar, Karunakaran, Vijay and Sankar in connection with the murder and they were remanded in prison.
