Kerala actress molestation: SIT recovers Pulsar Suni memory card
Kochi/ Alappuzha: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Tuesday recovered a SIM card and a memory card from the house of a friend of ‘Pulsar’ Suni in Ambalapuzha which they suspect could contain the videos of assault of the actor.
The seizure was made while the cops took him to the house of Manu, Kakkazham, Ambalappuzha, as part of evidence collection process. “We’ve sent the same for scientific examination at Thiruvananthapuram. Manu’s sister identified Suni and given a statement that she had seen him removing the SIM from his phone when he came there a day after the February 17 incident. We strongly suspect it to be that of Suni’s and that it contain the visuals of the actor,” a senior police officer said.
Manu, who earlier worked as a private bus driver in Kochi, is a friend of Suni for long. He came to Manu’s house requesting Rs 10, 000. Manu’s mother and sister identified Suni. The latter told police that Suni had sought a safety pin for taking memory card and SIM card from his mobile phone. After that Manu and Suni went to sea shore even as the news of the attack went on air. When Manu’s sister identified Suni, he escaped from the spot. Though Suni demanded Rs 10,000 from Manu, the latter did not give the same.
Cops found that Suni had visited Manu’s home many times earlier including on the occasion of his sister’s marriage. The cops also took Suni to the sea shore and conducted a search but could not recover anything. Earlier, the cops sought the help of Navy divers and conducted searches in the water under the Goshree bridge here. This after Suni again changed his stance and said he had thrown off the mobile from the bridge while on his way to surrender before a court here. However, the searched yielded nothing. The main accused is giving the cops a tough time by changing his stances with regard to what he did with the mobile phone. He also owns up the crime which has made the probe into the conspiracy angle a difficult one.
