District medical and health officer of Yadadri booked in sexual harassment case

Complainants said the DMHO calls them to his room for official discussions and then engages in indecent talk.

Hyderabad: The district medical and health officer (DMHO) of Yadadri, D.K. Chary, was booked for sexual harassment by Bhongir police after two doctors and some women employees of the department complained against him. The doctors of public health centres who come for monthly meetings and for discussions under various programmes were offended by the behaviour of the DMHO. The doctors complained that he used to ask them to sit beside him, and also wanted them to come and meet him regularly.

The employees in their complaint to the police said that he insists on calling them to his chamber for discussing official matters, and then engages in indecent talk. After receiving the complaint the police said they are taking into account the version of the officer and inquiring into the case. Mr Chary was called for inquiry by the police.
