CJP Founder Thanks Supporters After 37-Day Protest

Abhijeet Dipke says the movement’s larger fight for students is far from over

New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Sunday thanked supporters after the conclusion of the 37-day protest at Jantar Mantar, saying he could finally “sleep peacefully” without worrying about what would happen next.

In a video message, Dipke expressed gratitude to students, volunteers and supporters who had participated in the agitation over the alleged NEET paper leak.

He said the end of the protest had brought relief after weeks of uncertainty but maintained that the movement’s larger objectives remained unfinished.

The agitation ended after Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned, one of the key demands raised by the protesters.

Dipke described the outcome as only the beginning and said the party would continue to raise issues affecting students and young people.
