CJP Announces New Members, Unveils Organisational Teams Across India
Student-led outfit appoints Aafreen Nawaz as national secretary and unveils zone-wise coordination committees across India.
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced a new organisational structure, appointing Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka as co-conveners and Aafreen Nawaz as national secretary, as the student-led outfit looks to expand its presence across the country.
The CJP announced several other appointments, including five organisation joint secretaries and two national spokespersons. Rekha Sharma, Akshay Shinde, Prem Aakash, Anam Uzzama and Balakrishna Shukla have been named organisation joint secretaries, while Sudhir Sangwan and Siddhant Bhardwaj have been appointed national spokespersons.
The party also announced zone-wise coordination committees.
The North Zone Coordination Committee comprises Aadesh Pradhan Gurjar, Azad Mohit, Mohd. Farhan Khan, Vishesh Karnwal, Ujjwal Pandey, Pooja Saini, Aftab Singh Virk, Arshdeep Singh Kochar, Zahid Ahmed Male, Mehvish Ali, Shreshth Singh Khera, Ajay Deshwal, Dr Vivek Sangwan, Mukesh Allrounder, Ram Jhakhad, Harsh Kartikey Singh and Advocate Aarushi Ghai.
The East Zone Coordination Committee includes Sheikh Maruf Uddin, Dedipya Ganguly, Sheikh Abdul Hafiz, Parkarti Sahu, Rakesh Ranjan Samal, Swapnil Mishra, Ashutosh Ranjan, Khushbu Wahab Choudhary, Mayank Pandey, Satish Yadav, Aslam Khan, Rasika Khare, Sachin Bharwal, Kritika Kashyap, Mohan Yadav and Raman Deep.
The West Zone Coordination Committee comprises Dr Nitin Dighe, Adv Jaisingh Shere, Durgesh Kuhike, Nilakshi Wankhede, Sarosh Shaikh, Ashutosh Sharma, Rohit Patel, Aniket Shivhare, Ram Patel, Ved Trivedi and Pritesh Chawda.
"We look forward to building a stronger and more active organisation across the country," the CJP said in its announcement on X.
Supreme Court Hears Plea On Panel Over Delhi Protest Clashes
The Supreme Court on Tuesday heard a plea seeking reconstitution of its five-member panel probing alleged police excesses against student protesters and violence against police during CJP-led protests in Delhi. Senior advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan sought listing of the plea, while Solicitor General Tushar Mehta opposed it, calling it "very mischievous". Chief Justice Surya Kant said the court did not appreciate mentioning judges' names. The panel, headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice R Subhash Reddy, is examining allegations of excessive force by police and violence by protesters during the agitation.
