CID Grills Abhishek For 6 Hours For Inciting Poll Speech

Kolkata: Trinamul Congress scion Abhishek Banerjee was questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the West Bengal Police for six hours on Tuesday in the case of his alleged provocative speech during the recent Assembly elections campaign. Banerjee appeared at the CID headquarters, Bhawani Bhavan, in Alipore of the city minutes before noon, responding to the state detective agency's summons.
The notice was delivered by the CID to his new residence at Kalighat Road last week following the takeover of the probe from the cyber crime wing of the Bidhannagar police. The Calcutta High Court has given Banerjee interim protection from arrest in the case.

During the meeting, He had claimed, “Kon Jallader Koto Khomota Aar Kon Dillir Baba Kake Banchate Ase, Ami Char Tarikh Dekhbo (I will see which executioner is capable of what kind of guts and which big daddy of Delhi comes to save whom on May 4)”.
