Mr Sai called Maha Kumbh the grand confluence of faith, spirituality, and tradition, underscoring its significance as a sacred medium that connects the soul with the divine and embodies the eternal essence of Indian culture

Raipur: A host of dignitaries from Chhattisgarh including chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai and his ministerial colleagues along with their

families on Thursday took holy dips at Triveni Sangam on the occasion of Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

“We took a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam and prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Chhattisgarh. It was an

amazing spiritual experience”, Mr Sai said.

Chhattisgarh Assembly speaker and former chief minister Raman Singh along with his family members also took holy dip at Triveni Sangam

along with other dignitaries of the state.

Besides, MPs and MLAs of Chhattisgarh accompanied them.

Mr Sai called Maha Kumbh the grand confluence of faith, spirituality, and tradition, underscoring its significance as a sacred medium that

connects the soul with the divine and embodies the eternal essence of Indian culture.

The dignitaries left for Prayagraj from Raipur in a flight and then proceeded from Prayagraj airport to the Sangam Ghat in five electric buses.

At Arel Ghat in Prayagraj, the delegation boarded motor boats to reach the Triveni Sangam, where they performed the ritualistic holy dip in

the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati rivers.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sai described the Triveni Sangam as not just a meeting point of three rivers, but a spiritual confluence of

culture, heritage and devotion.

He said that Maha Kumbh is not an Indian festival but a global celebration of spiritual consciousness and human unity.

He remarked that this grand congregation of saints, seers, and devotees strengthens India’s deep-rooted spiritual heritage.
