The Naxal arms dumps were recovered during a joint search operation in the dense forests of Edri, Harra, Nayapara, and Sarpanch Para in Pedia and Kuppaguda areas conducted by the personnel of the CRPF’s 199th Battalion.

Raipur: Security personnel on Monday recovered 14 Maoist arms dumps, yielding a huge cache of arms and explosives, in the jungles of Bijapur district in south Bastar in Chhattisgarh.
The Naxal arms dumps were recovered during a joint search operation in the dense forests of Edri, Harra, Nayapara, and Sarpanch Para in Pedia and Kuppaguda areas conducted by the personnel of the CRPF’s 199th Battalion.
The dumps yielded one .303 bolt-action rifle, five Bharmar (country-made) rifles, and one country-made 12-bore rifle.
This apart, ten IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices), eight detonators, Codex wire, wireless sets, and steel containers used for making ‘tiffin bombs., were recovered.
A total of 99 types of materials were seized.
