RAIPUR: In an initiative of its kind, the Chhattisgarh government has proposed the media organizations here to nominate two female journalists each to cover the special session of the Assembly, convened on Thursday to discuss women’s reservation and empowerment, to ensure a gender-inclusive coverage.
The media houses have been asked to refer names of two female journalists to the Directorate of Public Relations by the stipulated time for their entry passes to cover the special session of the Assembly.

The special session is scheduled to discuss the issue of women’s reservation and women empowerment in the backdrop of the defeat of the women’s quota bill in the Lok Sabha recently.
Chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai has earlier hinted that the move by the Opposition to oppose the bill in the LS will be condemned in the upcoming special session of the Assembly.
