Bombay HC to hear PIL seeking probe Into Sushant Singh Rajput

Petition demands arrest, interrogation of Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aditya Thackeray over alleged links to the two deaths

The Bombay High Court is set to hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on February 19, seeking a deeper investigation into the deaths of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager Disha Salian. The plea demands the arrest and interrogation of Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aditya Thackeray in connection with the two cases, which have remained controversial since 2020.

The PIL argues that both deaths occurred under mysterious circumstances and raises concerns over an alleged cover-up. While Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020, Salian reportedly fell from a high-rise building on June 8, 2020. Various theories, including foul play, have emerged, leading to multiple investigations by Mumbai Police, CBI, NCB, and ED.

The petitioner contends that Aditya Thackeray’s name has been mentioned in several discussions related to the case and demands his interrogation. However, Thackeray has previously denied any involvement, dismissing the allegations as politically motivated.

The Bombay High Court's decision on this PIL could potentially reignite debates surrounding the high-profile deaths and influence the course of ongoing investigations.
