BJP Workers Celebrate Party's Win Near Mamata Banerjee's House, Nabanna

Kolkata: For the first time in the last 15 years, jubilant BJP workers raised ‘Jai Shree Ram’ and ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ slogans outside two power centers, one political while the other being government, in West Bengal on Monday after their party's unprecedented victory in this Assembly Election.
The two locations were Trinamul Congress supremo and three-time chief minister Mamata Banerjee's residence at Harish Chatterjee Street in Kalighat in South Kolkata and Nabanna, the state secretariat of the West Bengal government in Howrah that houses the CMO.
Both the addresses used to be highly guarded by the Kolkata Police personnel but wore a deserted look after the regime change. In the morning, BJP supporters, waving their party flags with slogans on their lips, crossed Harish Chatterjee Street by walking and riding motorcycles in joy. They were not allowed by the cops to enter the narrow that goes upto Ms Banerjee's residence.
In the afternoon, a group of women BJP supporters celebrated their party's success at the main entrance of Nabanna by raising their party slogans. Later state chief secretary Dushyant Nariala issued an order which stated, “All Departmental Secretaries and Head of Offices are requested to ensure that no important paper or any file is removed/damaged or otherwise taken out from the offices.”
It added, “No unauthorized copying/ scanning shall be permitted. Further, all files/important papers/ communication shall be properly accounted for. The Head of Departments and Departmental Secretaries shall personally ensure that this is followed in letter and spirit. Personal responsibility shall be fixed for any instance of deviation.”
To implement the order, the central forces personnel have been deployed by the Election Commission at Nabanna and other buildings housing state government departments. They have been entrusted to check the staff and their belongings to ensure no illegal movement of files in view of monumental scams in the TMC-rule.
