BJP Will Be Finished, Kashmir Will Always Be In India: Uddhav
Referring to the recent Pahalgam terror attack sponsored by Pakistan in Kashmir, the Shiv Sena chief also said Kashmir will always remain part of the country.

MUMBAI: Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday called BJP a “dagabaz mitra” (treacherous friend) stating a kind enemy is better than a treacherous friend. Mr. Thackeray held a meeting with district presidents, all MPs and MLAs of his party ahead of local body elections including BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). He instructed the party office bearers to prepare for upcoming civic elections. The Shiv Sena (UBT) chief also said that BJP’s boat is going to sink as it is overloaded and claimed that Amit Shah is the chief of three parties including Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led NCP.
After coming back to India from foreign tour, the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief addressed his party office bearers and lawmakers in the backdrop of Supreme Court’s direction to the state election commission (SEC) to conduct the polls of local bodies in Maharashtra in next four months. He said that his party is not the sinking ship but the BJP is.
“Treacherous friend is more dangerous than a big-hearted enemy. With the help of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray’s Hindutva, the BJP expanded its roots in the state. We never demanded anything. But they (BJP leaders) betrayed us and used our people to ruin the party. When the son of Balasaheb Thackeray became the chief minister; the BJP hatched a conspiracy to destroy Shiv Sena and Uddhav Thackeray,” Mr. Thackeray said.
Taking a dig at leaders who have left the party, Mr. Thackeray said that his party had given everything to some leaders, who have now shifted their loyalties. “We should not bother about them but focus on our fight,” he said.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) chief said that there would be elections in local body corporations and Zilla parishad in a few months and the party’s preparation would commence immediately. However, the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief did not speak anything about a possible alliance with his estranged cousin Raj Thackeray led MNS.
Referring to the recent Pahalgam terror attack sponsored by Pakistan in Kashmir, the Shiv Sena chief also said Kashmir will always remain part of the country. “The BJP will be finished in the country but Kashmir will always remain with us,” he said.
Mr. Thackeray also made it clear that there is ideological difference with the BJP but whenever, there is a national crisis, the Sena (UBT) will support Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “We are not against the country, but the government,” Mr. Thackeray said.
